Wire search
At Leif Koch A / S, we have extensive experience in wire search. We use ground microphones and pulse generators to map the pipe system, so you or your company have a clear overview of where your pipe is located.
Knowing where the pipes are is especially important if you need to rebuild, connect new pipes or review the condition of the pipes.
Search on the wiring network
To find the wires, we use a number of instruments, and preferably several on the same wiring harness, to ensure a correct overview with the highest possible accuracy.
There is a big difference in how carefully the wiring has been mapped, and often the location can deviate by several meters from where it was otherwise thought that the wire was located.
Overview of the condition
In addition to this, we can make condition reports of your entire wiring network. We do this i.a. by pipelines of older date or by many leaks. This can give you an overview of the condition as well as knowledge of what the most profitable solution is for you. It can often be difficult to judge whether to try to repair all the leaks or to replace wires.
Replacement of wires
Replacing wires can seem like a cumbersome and confusing task, however, it can sometimes pay better to replace, especially if there are many leaks and the condition of the pipes is poor.
The condition of the pipes
Often one can have an idea of what condition the pipes are in based on age and previous leaks. However, age and condition do not always go hand in hand. Some pipes last longer than others, and there are many factors that influence the life of the pipes, such as. soil conditions, rocks and settlements.
It is therefore important to always have an updated map of the wiring system. And per. On 1 July 2023, it was decided that all line information must be digitized.
The LER Act
Act on the Register of Wire Owners, The LER Act (LAW no. 564 of 10/05/2022)
Line owners who are covered by the scope of the Act have a duty to be registered in the Line Owner Register, and have a duty to hand over line information to the excavation operators who inquire about line information.
The law has full effect from 1 July 2023, which means that all earth-borne water mains must be registered correctly.
